Known for his ability to encapsulate the essence of the dolce vita lifestyle, Aarons embarked on a journey along the picturesque Italian coastline during the 1960s and 1980s. From the sun-soaked poolside of the Pellicano Hotel to the opulent yacht decks in Sardinia, Aarons’ lens captured the splendor that defined this transformative era. The photography series made its debut at Les Rencontres de la Photographie festival in Arles, France.

Louis Vuitton presents the timeless glamour of Italian coasts

At Les Rencontres de la Photographie festival, Louis Vuitton kicked off the summer season by unveiling two additions to their Fashion Eye collection. Among these releases, Slim Aarons takes center stage as he immortalizes the charm of the Italian coast, spanning the decades from the 1960s to the 1980s. Within this photography project, the pages come alive with images of idyllic beaches, Mediterranean feasts, and leisurely cocktail hangouts by the pool. Lush yacht gatherings and bronzed bodies adorned with luxurious summer accessories add an air of opulence to the series.
