Fix Auto Leeds South opens for business

Vehicles are now rolling out of the new Fix Auto Leeds South repair centre three months it became the secondary repair centre in the city.

The 10,000sq ft facility will be managed by James Bentley and is the fourth facility in the Smith family’s portfolio of Fix Auto UK-branded sites spanning from Bradford, Keighley and the network’s first and only purpose built-centre located close to Leeds city centre.

Fix Auto Leeds South, which holds two large commercial spraybooths, 10 work bays and has been designed around an open plan direct in/out layout to ensure a seamless workflow whereby up to 30 vehicles a week will be repaired. The bodyshop sits in approximately half an acre of secure parking and is positioned close to the M1.

It is the second building to host the Leeds South operation as Sam Smith explained: “This new site really is all about progression. While our previous Leeds South centre served us well, productivity and efficiency were restricted by the limited parking there while the access to the building wasn’t the best either.

“The new site is similar to our Leeds North building with an open plan bodyshop, plenty of car parking and easy access which will enable us to operate a far greater work-flow processes.”

He added: “We are looking for a couple of additional team members but, when we’re fully operational, I believe our productivity will improve by more than 100 per cent over our former site.”

Ian Pugh, managing director for Fix Auto UK, commented: “Once again Sam and Stephen have delivered on their promise to open a new centre that is strategically placed and adds further strength to the network. Yet again we have another centre in the network that is a credit to their commitment and drive to deliver exemplary customer service.”
